For this course, students were asked: Who would you like to capture in a painting? Your family? Your cat or dog? Yourself? They then created their own “over the top” portraits with cool 3-D parts to them. These portraits don't just include what students look like, but will tell about they are. Serious or silly, celebratory or soulful, these are unique portraits of their lives!

An abstract, of course! I'm using a print of an enlarged photo of a sunflower which is under the glass plate which will be a suncatcher and/or a trivet when I'm finished.

The race course made of inflatable pylons can kind of be seen on the river. We didn't feel any need to cram ourselves right at the waters edge.
